THEOLOGY

What We Believe

We hold to no formal creed beyond the Bible itself. What follows is our best attempt to summarise what scripture teaches — plainly.

God and the Trinity

We believe in the one God revealed in the Bible — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the creator and sustainer of all life. Jesus is fully God and fully human, who died for our sins, rose from the dead on the third day, and will come again.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God — authoritative, complete, and sufficient for all matters of faith and practice. We do not require any external creed or confession.

Salvation and Baptism

We believe salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, expressed through repentance, confession that Jesus is Lord, and baptism by immersion for the forgiveness of sins. Baptism is the moment of new birth, where one enters into the family of Christ.

The Church

We believe the church is made up of all baptised believers, with Jesus as its head. Each congregation governs itself, with no denominational hierarchy. We do not consider ourselves a denomination, but part of the one body of Christ.

Worship

We worship acappella — singing together, voices only — based on New Testament practice. We share communion every Sunday, as the early church did, to remember Jesus' sacrifice and proclaim his resurrection until he returns.

The Mission

We believe the church exists to reach the spiritually lost and equip believers to serve and teach others. Every baptised believer is a minister — mission is shared by the whole congregation, not delegated to professionals.

Theology raises more questions than it answers.
